What inspires you about sport?
At this level it’s the pursuit of mastery in something I really enjoy doing.
Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
Going down to Hammersmith to watch the 2022 race in my first year with all the other Churchill rowers. It was introduction to rowing outside of the Cam. I knew then I had to try make the Blue Boat.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
In a way both. I enjoy the moments of things going well - faster splits on the erg, being up in a race, having a great steady row.
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
Get off that goddamn phone. Apart from that just focus on what your doing at any given moment whether that be work/rowing and trying to minimise in between time when you are doing neither.
