About Lara Robinson
Where did you learn to row and who was your first coach?
Stratford-upon-Avon Boat Club and later at City of Oxford Rowing Club - Clive Cooper and Tom Chapman.
What inspires you about sport?
On a personal level, I love pushing my limits day in day out, because there really is no glass ceiling on what you can achieve!
Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
Growing up, my family always watched The Boat Race, despite not really having a connection with either university, or with rowing! It was in my radar from a fairly young age that I’d like to attend one of these universities one day, but never imagined that I might actually be in the running for a Boat Race.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
The hard work that goes in to getting to the start line is the most rewarding thing, but racing is great fun!
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
Hoping I might have the answer this time next year…
