Where did you learn to row and who was your first coach?
Marin Rowing in Greenbrae, California - Sandy Armstrong, Amanda Cashman-Harvey, and Maggie Cheek.
What inspires you about sport?
Finding new ways to improve every practice and watching my teammates achieve their goals.
Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
The first race I watched in its entirety was the 2022 Women's Bat Race, which featured two Stanford alums in the Oxford boat. I was so inspired by the grit and gutsiness of the rowers.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
Race days are definitely the most exciting part of the sport for me, but I think it's also important to find enjoyment in the day-to-day process.
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
Compartmentalizing and use rowing as a mental break from studying (and vice versa).
