Where did you learn to row and who was your first coach?
Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, USA - Henry Leonardi (son of Rich Leonardi from the Spider-Man comics).
What inspires you about sport?
Being part of something that is outside and greater than yourself.
Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
I didn't grow up in rowing culture or in the UK so my first real understanding of the race came from Tom Lynch's YouTube videos.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
I love it all. I enjoy the training and spending lots of hours with my teammates in the pain cave, but also the thrill of racing.
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
I personally wouldn't have it any other way - balancing such different interests makes me sharper in everything I do. But I do need to focus on how I prioritize more time because it is finite.
