Where did you learn to row and who was your first coach?
Stephen Martin.
What inspires you about sport?
I like to push my body to its limits and be in great shape. I also really enjoy the competition and how much it rewards hard work. I also come from an athletic family and through sports I can build upon the legacies of those who came before me.
Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
My earliest memory of The Boat Race is watching the race on television, and then running from my parent's house in Mortlake towards the Ship Pub to watch the crews pass by in person.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
I think I love the training more than the competition.
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
The most important thing is being honest with yourself and being disciplined with how you manage your time.
