Explain your earliest memory of The Boat Race
My earliest memory is watching highlights online as a teenager and being struck by the intensity, the rivalry, and the history behind the event. I remember thinking how incredible it would be to one day line up on the Thames wearing Oxford blue.
Do you relish in hours in the gym and miles in the dark, or do you live for race days?
I thrive on both. Training in the dark, pushing myself day after day, is where the foundation is built. But race day is the reward - the moment where all the sacrifices come together. I need the grind to truly enjoy the glory.
What's the secret to managing elite-level sport with studying at one of the top universities in the world?
The secret is discipline and perspective. I’ve learned to maximize every hour - whether in training, class, or recovery. Sport and academics feed each other: rowing teaches focus and resilience, while studying sharpens my ability to think strategically under pressure.
