Why did you choose MPhil Music (Musicology)?

It’s always interesting to see how scholars want to discuss something so inherently creative. I like mathematical score analysis but it can be interpreted artistically, philosophically, even politically.

Why did you first try rowing?

Rowing was the only extra-curricular activity that was on during lockdown so I thought I’d give it a go

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

Bumping up to headship on the first day of May Bumps 2023 (and almost retaining it)

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

The feeling of building a crew that’s greater than the sum of its parts and sharing the win with people who have binned themselves for you and each other is unmatched
