About Alice:

Why did you choose Biological Natural Science?

I love that it starts as a very broad introduction to all of the biological sciences at a level beyond A level and then allows you to pursue what you are interested in as your degree progresses through the years. In first year I would never have dreamed of choosing Plant sciences as my department this year!

Why did you first try rowing?

I tried erging in PE and my teacher said I looked pretty good so I should try erg club. From there I learnt about summer camps at SUABC and then joined into the J13 squad and haven’t looked back since

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Graham Collier and Steve Wellstead at Stratford upon Avon boat club

Where else have you rowed?

Magdalene College Boat Club

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

Bumping up into the first division of May bumps in my first year of college rowing

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Realising a childhood dream that I never thought would ever be possible
