About Tara:

Why did you choose BA History?

The breadth of the undergraduate course is fantastic; I came in as a medievalist and now I am firmly a mid-20th century European historian. The flexibility of the course has therefore allowed me to develop academically in ways I could not have foreseen.

The tutors here are also the best in their field globally, and libraries like the Radcliffe Camera and the Bodleian have unparalleled access to both primary and secondary source material.

Why did you first try rowing?

I was initially a triathlete and coming to Oxford I wanted to try a team-sport that was equally as endurance-focused and competitive!

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Vincent Faucheux at Boulogne 92, Aviron (Paris)

Where else have you rowed?

London Rowing Club for this past summer heading into the 2023-4 season.

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Validation of months of sacrifice, pain and hard work.
