About Polina:

Why did you choose Medicine?

I love how Medicine brings science to a people level. The content affects each of us, but differently in each personal story. It’s an exciting, quickly progressing field with so many opportunities for development both in clinical work and research.

Why did you first try rowing?

With such a gorgeous stretch of the Thames from Kingston to Hampton Court, it would be a waste not to use the opportunity

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Alex Di Luzio at Tiffin School Boat Club

Where else have you rowed?

Lincoln College Boat Club (Oxford), Oxford University Women’s Lightweight Rowing Club

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

My proudest achievement will be winning the Boat Race

Do you have a favourite Boat Race? Which one and why?

2022 Men’s Boat Race – a truly ‘All-Star’ team from the rowing international stage. The Oxford win was heartfelt and a long time coming.

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Life would be perfect. The privilege to experience that winning feeling is the driver for the years’ worth of work and sacrifices leading up to race day.
