About Harry:

Why did you choose MBA?

The MBA at Oxford appealed to me because of its prestigious reputation, strong alumni network and its diverse and international community. I am using the MBA as a transition from elite sport to the corporate world and I’m loving my experience so far.

Why did you first try rowing?

There was a sign up sheet to try some rowing at Marlow Rowing Club. Me and a few friends went down to try rowing and really enjoyed it.

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

Carrie Collerton and Ray Bedder at Marlow Rowing Club

Where else have you rowed?

Marlow Rowing Club (2009-2013), University of Surrey/Molesey Boat Club (2013-2015) , Leander Rowing Club (2015-2018), Great Britain senior team (2018-2023)

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

GB Rowing team (2018-2023), 9 x top 3s and 3 x GB Senior Trial Winner (2018-2023), World University Champion (2018) , 4 x Henley Royal Regatta Winner (2013,2015,2016,2017), Junior, U23, Senior World Champs, European Championships, Olympic Qualification Regatta (men’s pair)

Do you have a favourite Boat Race? Which one and why?

I enjoy watching every boat race for many different reasons, however a personal favourite of mine would be 2003 due to it being so close.

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

Winning The Boat Race would mean the absolute world to me. After sadly missing the whole of the 2023 season with a back injury which resulted in two epidural injections, I am absolutely thrilled to be back rowing after GB successfully rehabbing my back. Thank you to Liz, Anne, and the rest of the GB support staff. After missing out on the Olympics due to injury, I am determined to finish my career on a high.
