About Augustus:

Why did you choose MPhil Medieval History?

Primarily dissertation focused, allows me to explore my interests in the late medieval world to a greater depth and with excellent resources

Why did you first try rowing?

My parents forced me to sign up for it, probably because I was getting a bit too wide and living a comfortable existence

Who introduced you to the sport of rowing?

John Callie at At school

Where else have you rowed?

Toowong rowing club and Durham University

What are your proudest rowing achievements?

Coming 3rd at GB u23 trials

Do you have a favourite Boat Race? Which one and why?

2018 – the seven seat, Rob Hurn, was an old boy of my school and a rowing legend, so seeing him win it was quite special.

What would winning The Boat Race mean to you?

It would be the greatest achievement of my life so far. It would be the ultimate sense of gratification to myself and also all those who have worked so hard for me to get here, mainly my parents.
