The Official Timing Partner of The BNY Mellon Boat Races has been confirmed as the luxury Swiss watch brand Parmigiani Fleurier. The Boat Race Company Limited and Parmigiani Fleurier have agreed a 3 year partnership which is effective immediately.
The Parmigiani values, based around performance and team spirit, are well aligned with the discipline of rowing. The sport is one of beauty and technique, focused on the development of physical and mental qualities harnessed together for teamwork, timing, synchronicity and success.
Parmigiani has already shown great support to young rowing scholars around the world, by partnering with The World Rowing Federation (FISA) to create the Parmigiani Spirit Award. With a proud heritage at the roots of the Swiss watchmaking art and expertise, Parmigiani Fleurier are excited to increase their involvement in rowing and be part of a great sporting tradition, which pitches Oxford against Cambridge on the iconic stretch of London’s River Thames from Putney to Mortlake.
Marc Gaudreault, COO at Parmigiani Fleurier, said “We are delighted to be the official timing sponsor for this prestigious and historic sporting event. Rowing continues to be an area of great passion to us, we have been overwhelmed by the interesting and inspirational athletes we have encountered through the sport and we look forward to a successful partnership with The BNY Mellon Boat Races”
