Organisers of the UK’s major mass-participation events – including the London Marathon – have launched a new challenge. The 2.6 challenge is a nationwide fundraising campaign to Save the UK’s Charities.
Thousands of fundraising events across the UK have been cancelled due to Covid-19 resulting in a devastating impact on charity income, including for our charity partner the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution).
The 2.6 challenge offers you the chance to help.
We want you to think of an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and to donate. It can be anything – run or walk 2.6 miles, 2.6km or for 26 minutes, go up and down the stairs 26 times, juggle for 2.6 minutes, do a 26-minute exercise class or get 26 people on a video call and do a 26-minute workout. Or do you have access to a rowing machine – could your challenge be rowing related?
