Tomorrow sees Oxford University Women’s Boat Club take on Molesey Boat Club in a re-run of a fixture prior to The 2014 Newton Women’s Boat Race.
This will be the first public test for the OUWBC as they prepare for the first Women’s Boat Race in conjunction with The BNY Mellon Boat Race on the Tideway in London.
The Oxford crew includes no less than five returning Blues, along with the addition of triple Olympic medallist Caryn Davies at stroke. Former St. Paul’s Girls’ School pupil Jennifer Ehr will bring Tideway experience to the coxing seat whilst taking on GB cox Henry Fieldman who steered the CUBC Blue Boat in 2013.
The crews will race from the Boat Race start at 2pm, taking on The Championship Course in three pieces subject to conditions.
