Cambridge University Women’s Boat Club (CUWBC) will race this weekend against Amsterdam Student Rowing Club Nereus (Nereus) on the River Thames in London on Saturday 23rd February as part of the preparations for The Women’s Boat Race 2019.
The crews will take part in race pieces on the Championship Course between Putney and Mortlake, starting at 14:30.
Nereus is situated on the Amstel river in the heart of the city of Amsterdam. The Club was founded in 1885 and has performed at the highest level ever since. It regularly provides a substantial part of the Dutch national team at major competitions and the last five Olympic Games saw members of the Club medal. With more than 800 members, Nereus is one of the largest Rowing Clubs in the world.
