Personal bio:
Was convinced by his older sister, Meghan, that he should take up rowing.
She was an accomplished rower herself and went on to captain Boston
University Women’s rowing team. Andrew started rowing at the Canadian
Leander Boat Club and then moved onto St Catharine’s Rowing Club (Canada)
during High School. Then went to Syracuse on a rowing scholarship. As a
junior he was an elite level Alpine ski and mountain bike racer. Won medals
in the eight and coxed four at the 2001 Canada Summer Games – an U21
competition. Has already graduated (Magna Cum Laude) with a BSc in
Electrical Engineering.
