Personal bio:
Coxed Isis in the 2005 Reserves Race. Coxed the Great Britain VIII to gold
at the 2003 Junior World Championships. The event doubled as the 2004
Olympic Games test event and was badly affected by high winds on the
Schinias Course. Several eights, including GB, were waterlogged in the
early rounds and the final took place over a shortened course. The same
crew won Open Eights at the National Championships in Strathclyde during
the build up to the 2003 Junior Worlds. Was also a silver medallist with
the coxed four at the 2004 World Junior Championships in Banyoles, Spain.
Coxed Abingdon School’s first eight for five years, winning the Triple in
2002, including National Schools Regatta, the Schools Head of the River and
the Princess Elizabeth Cup at Henley Royal Regatta. Three times a medallist
at Munich junior international regatta: bronze (eight 2003), silver and
gold (coxed four 2004). Has plenty of experience of coxing on the Tideway.
Has followed his brother, Adam, to Oxford where he also studied Geography.
Was at school and in the GB junior squad with Jamie Anderson and Robin E-F
who are also in the Oxford squad this year.
