Coxed the winning Isis boat in 2008, having been in the same boat in 2007. Took up rowing at school, where he rowed for a year before moving into coxing. Cox to the English junior men’s eight in 2003 for the Home Countries Regatta, but decided in his first year at Oxford to race with the lightweight squad. Went on to win with the Lightweight Blue Boat and set a course record in 2006.
