Took up rowing 11 years ago and gained silver as a double sculler at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Zagreb. A year later, won gold in the same discipline at the World Junior Championships in Germany and was part of the eight that won the Freshmen’s national title. Rowed in the 2007 Blue boat and in the double sculls at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
