Competed in the Isis boat in 2007 after taking up rowing as a novice in Manchester and being selected for the World Class Performance Programme during Christmas 2004. Won a British Universities Sports Association novice gold medal in 2004. Plays golf off a handicap of eight and plays the piano to Grade eight. Hopes to qualify for London 2012.
