In his final year of an M.Sc. in Science and Medicine of Athletic
Performance course after graduating from the University of Manchester with
an upper second in Biology. Competed in the Isis boat in 2007 after taking
up rowing as a novice in Manchester and being selected for the World Class
Performance Programme during Christmas 2004. Won a British Universities
Sports Association novice gold medal in 2004. Plays golf off a handicap of
eight and plays the piano to Grade eight. Hopes to qualify for London 2012.
