A first year Geography student, James came to Oxford with a top 10 place in the country in Edexcel A-level Economics. He has won a gold medal in the coxless Fours at the Coupe de La Jeunesse which was followed up a year later with a 7th place in the Eights at the Junior World Championships. James is an accomplished sportsman outside of rowing having represented his county at 50m breastroke before deciding to concentrate on rowing.
