Nick is in the second year of a four-year physics degree at Oxford. Born in
Zimbabwe, the family moved back to the UK in 1991. Nick played rugby at
Emanuel School in London before switching to rowing aged 15. Nick’s
father still coaches rowing at Emanuel and was rowing master there, during
which time he coached the first eight to several schools head victories and
to the final of the Princess Elizabeth Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta.
Nick won gold in the men’s junior eights at the 2004 Home Counties
Regatta and earned gold in the men’s junior coxless pairs the following
year. In his spare time Nick designs websites. There is clearly a sporting
theme in the family – one of Nick’s great great grandfathers played
cricket for England.
