Personal bio:

Has already enjoyed a very successful international rowing and Boat Race career. Was part of the GB eight which won World Championships bronze in Milan in 2003 and competed at the 2004 Athens Olympic Games where its participation was hampered in the heats by illness to Cambridges Tom James, the strokeman. Robin was also sixth in the eight at the 2002 world champs. Was a world junior champs silver medallist (1999, four), recording the, then, fastest time by a GB crew (senior or junior) of 5:47.3. Has won twice (2002, 2003) in three appearances for Oxford in the University Boat Race since 2001. In 2003 he was part of the Oxford crew which overcame the biggest weight disadvantage of all time to hold off Cambridge by just one foot. Current Oxford University BC President. Took a gap year in 2004 from studying engineering science at Christ Church College and will go to the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, in September 2005 where he will join the Household Calvary. Started rowing when at Abingdon School.
