Personal bio:
Has already enjoyed a successful international rowing career. Reached the
final of the 2001 and 2002 World Championships (coxed four), finishing 6th
on both occasions. Was 7th at the 1999 world junior champs in the American
eight. Winner of the 2002 Ladies’ Plate at Henley Royal Regatta with
Harvard. Finalist in the 2003 Grand at Henley with the USA eight. Was 2003
USA Collegiate Champion with Harvard in the eight. Trialled unsuccessfully
for the double scull in the 2004 US Olympic team. Many of his school and
Harvard friends have attended Cambridge University and rowed there,
including Hugo Mallinson and Wayne Pommen from the 2004 winning Light Blue
boat. Member of Athletes in Action which is a fellowship of Christian
Athletes. Will seek to attend Church or find a suitable place and time to
pray on Race Day. Was attracted to Oxford by the academic programme which
is a continuation of previous studies at Harvard. Wants to get back into
rowing in the USA after his year at Oxford. Ultimately seeking a job in the
field of energy consulting.
