world cups (2004), reaching the final in Munich. Only made his GB senior
debut in 2002 when he was part of the GB men’s eight who were sixth in
the 2002 world champs final in Seville and won world cup bronze in Munich.
Won a second world cup bronze in Munich (2003). Started rowing at North
Staffordshire University to improve fitness. After graduating in 2000,
moved to London, joined Molesey and impressed the U23 selectors so much
that they selected him despite his lack of experience for the 2001 world
U23 champs where he finished 6th in the coxed four.
