A 2002 Commonwealth Championships gold medallist in the men’s coxed four and a winner of the Fawley Challenge Cup at Henley, 2000, and the Wyfold Challenge Cup, 2001. Also national junior champion J16 and J18 men (single), 2000, quadruple scull, J18, 2002. 7th in the men’s pair at the 2003 World U23 Champs and winner of the U23 men’s pair title at the Duisburg International Regatta in 2003. A runner-up in the men’s quadruple scull at Henley in 2002 and 2003.
