A Physics student having already completed his BA in Physics from Cornell University. Ryan grew up as a football player at heart but at 6ft 2 inches at the age of 16, was encouraged him to take up rowing which he did in the hope it would help him stay fit for football. Ryan enjoyed the sport so much he made the decision to concentrate solely on rowing. He rowed in the Cornell first varsity boat between 2005-2007 and finished 7th in the IRA’s. Ryan comes from a sporty family – his father played for one of the top basketball teams in the NCAA league and his brother played NCAA soccer in New York.
