Personal bio:
Was part of the Cambridge early-season squad in 2004/5. Created his own
major at Berkeley titled “Leadership in Global Business and Politics”,
centred on a predictive model in leadership. Whilst at Berkeley also set up
a wireless networking company – a cutting-edge precursor of more recent
commercial networks. Says the intensity of preparation and focus involved
in the Boat Race is incomparable in the world and he wants to experience
it. As a cox won the Head of the Charles twice and was an American
Collegiate gold medallist in 2001 and silver medallist in 2002. Competed in
the sport of wrestling at school where he was captain of wrestling and Most
Valued Player. Also a talented cross-country runner. Many of his friends
took up rowing and that’s how he first got started. Chris Kennelly and
Scott Frandsen, previous Blues, are both friends. As an artist had one of
his acrylic paintings featured in an exhibition.
