Took up rowing as a complete novice at Clare College in 2003. Rowed for his college for two years and at Henley. Was also a triallist in 2004/5. Began rowing because a cousin, studying at Durham thought it would be a good idea. Has always wanted to be a doctor and is happy studying at Cambridge.
