Already has a BSc in Applied Physics from Yale. Has had a passion for science ever since reading Professor Stephen Hawkings book when he was young. Was encouraged in to rowing by Nate Kirk (previous Blue). One of his High School coaches, John Bernstein, was President of Cambridge in 1994. His father was a baseball player for Dartmouth College and Carl swam competitively at High School.
