David’s parents were working in New York when he was born, hence the dual
nationality. Lives in Chiswick – on the Boat Race route – and learnt to
row at school where he was in a junior men’s eight with Marco Espin. Went
on to represent Wales in the coxed four at the 2003 home countries regatta,
competed in a single at the 2006 Commonwealth Championships, represented
Great Britain at the Coupe de la Jeunesse,winning bronze in the eight in
2004. Took part for Great Britain in the World Junior Championships in 2005
in the coxed four and eight and was a semi-finalist at Henley Royal Regatta
in 2005 in the Princess Elizabeth Cup. Rowed at school with Robin
Ejsmond-Frey, the 2006/7 Oxford President. Sister Louise was in the winning
Cambridge boat in the 2005 Women’s Boat Race.
