Personal bio:
Coveny was part of the Goldie crew in 2004 (7 seat). Currently pursuing a
degree in Land Economy with an interest in finance and investment. His
brother Ian (member of two US National Rowing Teams) persuaded Coveny to
take up rowing. He set his sights on Cambridge after completing a degree in
biochemistry at Northeastern University. At Northeastern, Coveny was named
Most Valuable Player (Oarsman) in 2002 and competed in four Intercollegiate
rowing championships. Tim Wooge, the 2003 Cambridge President, is also an
alumni of Northeastern and rowed there with Covenys brother in 1997.
Covenys interests include playing drums, guitar, singing, dancing and
listening to himself talk.
