Personal bio:
Promising international rower whose career was punctuated for much of
2001/2 & early 2003 by a prolapsed disc which required surgery. Has
recently rowed with both Steve Trapmore and Tim Foster (gold medallists
from Sydney 2000). Foster provided support to Adams in recovering from the
back surgery. Adams began rowing at school because he wasnt any good at
rugby. Eventually discovered his competitive edge and competed in the 1997
Coupe de la Jeunesse. Went on to win World U23 silver (four, 2001), world
junior bronze (coxed four, 1998), world senior bronze (coxed four, 2001)
and world student bronze (four, 2004). Has rowed in national and other
crews coached by both Robin Williams and Donald Leggett. Previously studied
a BSc in Neuroscience at UCL. His sister, Belinda, and brother, George,
both row as do both parents his mother at novice level.
