Personal bio:

Competed for Cambridge in the 2002 Boat Race during which Oxford famously came from behind at Barnes to win. Was part of the German team at the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games. Was twice a world champs silver medallist (1998 and 1999) again with Germany. Took a year out of rowing last year to concentrate on his studies.
