Personal bio:
Was in the Cambridge Blue Boat in 2003. Henley Visitors Finalist in 2003
with Nate Kirk, Andrew Shannon and Kris Coventry. Won the Eastern Sprints
in 1999 and took silver in the same event in 2001 and 2002. His cousin,
Hope Barnes, was captain of the US women’s eight at the 1984 Olympic
Games. Previously enrolled on an MPhil in Engineering Manufacturing. Spent
much of last summer (2003) writing up his thesis.
