Took up rowing at the age of 6. His late father had strong connections with Cambridge having rowed in Goldie, coached Cambridge and Goldie and also been Treasurer of CUBC. Rick’s cousin, Andrew Dunn, was a member of the winning Oxford crew for the 2000 Boat Race and the cousins could go head-to-head this year if both are selected
