LBC 97.3 FM and LBC News 1152 AM are the official radio stations for the Boat Race.

LBC became the Boat Race’s official radio broadcaster in 2005. This was the first time, since the race was first broadcast in 1927, that it was heard exclusively LIVE on commercial Radio. LBC will once again cover the 2007 Race.

LBC aimed to re-introduce the Boat Race to Londoners. 250,000 Londoners line the Thames every year to watch the race so LBC believe it’s time to take back LONDON’S event. As well as a great sporting spectacle - the Boat Race is one of London’s best loved annual lifestyle events alongside the Ideal Home Show and Wimbledon for example.
