Organisers of The Boat Race have today announced the creation of a new
mobile phone internet service providing background information, live
reports and follow-ups to the 2007 Race, sponsored by Xchanging.
This is a “first” for the iconic sporting event which began in 1829
with the 153rd Race due to take place on April 7th at 4.30pm.
Simply by texting race to 88100 mobile phone users will be
sent a link to the site which will include crew information and live
updates. (Texts cost£1.50 plus standard network charges).
To celebrate the launch of the service, Boat Race organisers have also
created a competition with prize winners receiving a chance to follow The
Race on the day in one of the official launches to drink up the atmosphere
on the Thames.
By entering the competition below you will get access to the mobile site,
plus the chance to win the experience of a lifetime for you and a friend by
following this year’s Race, on Saturday 7th April, on one of The Boat
Race following launches.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
The winner will be contacted by Thurs 5th April.
Prize does not include travel to/from The Boat Race.
The winner must be over 16, or accompanied by an adult. For safety reasons
the winner, and their guest, must be able to get on and off the launch
without assistance.
