Cambridge crews training on the Thames enjoyed some unusual company this morning when a dolphin came to join them between Chiswick and Barnes.

"I spotted the dolphin and shouted to the lads and they all saw it, too. It was just playing and ducking and diving in the water. It was unusual and quite a delightful addition to the morning’s outing", said coach Duncan Holland.

Cambridge will take on a German eight on the same stretch of water tomorrow as part of their preparations for the 2007 Boat Race, sponsored by Xchanging, which takes place on April 7th at 4.30pm.
