oil drums, petrol cans, paint pots, sanitary products, prams, Christmas
Trees, computers, cars, motorbikes, white goods and guns……!
This is just some of the rubbish that Thames21 – official charity for The
Boat Race - remove from the River Thames with the help of thousands of
volunteers bringing huge benefits to everyone who uses and enjoys this
magnificent natural resource.
As well as regular clean up activities, Thames21 run successful projects
like Riverkeeper Volunteers and Adopt-A-River. In 2007, Thames21 has
launched Project Habitat– a two-year programme researching and trialling
ways to improve biodiversity on the Tidal Thames.
