Bringing London's waterways to life

Plastic bags, car tyres, shopping trolleys, bikes, plastic bottles, cans, oil drums, petrol cans, paint pots, sanitary products, prams, Christmas Trees, computers, cars, motorbikes, white goods and guns……!

This is just some of the rubbish that Thames21 – official charity for The Boat Race - remove from the River Thames with the help of thousands of volunteers bringing huge benefits to everyone who uses and enjoys this magnificent natural resource.

As well as regular clean up activities, Thames21 run successful projects like Riverkeeper Volunteers and Adopt-A-River. In 2007, Thames21 has launched Project Habitat– a two-year programme researching and trialling ways to improve biodiversity on the Tidal Thames.

Push the boat out and get involved with Thames21’s work. To find out more, please visit www.thames21.org.uk, email info@thames21.org.uk
