Born in Hammersmith and currently in the third year of a Chemistry degree. He coxed Isis in 2007. Took up rowing at St Paul’s School where he rowed for a year before moving into coxing. He was in the first Eight in 2003 and 2004. Was cox to the English Junior Men’s Eight in 2003 for the Home Countries Regatta but decided in his first year at Oxford, to race with the lightweight squad. Went on to win with the Lightweight Blue Boat and set a course record.
