In the first year of a BA (Affiliated) degree in History. Began rowing 7 years ago. He has competed at Henley for the last 5 years having made the final twice - in the Henley British FISU 4th A final and the U23 2007 A final. He then won the Britannia Challenge Cup in 2007. In 2006, he rowed at the U23 World Championships in Strathclyde where again he made the final in the Eight and more recently in September 2007, he competed in the European Championships in Poland. Tom also played basketball to County level.
