A Medical graduate and former President of CUBC in the 05/06 season, he
competed in the Blue Boat in 2005 and 2006. He won the Ladies Plate in 2005
in a CUBC crew just before being elected President for the following
season. Away from University rowing, Tom was an Australian Junior and rowed
at the World U23’s. 2007/08 is a comeback season for Tom after taking
time out in 2007 to concentrate on his Phd in Medical Genetics. His thesis
is on the molecular biology of motor neuron degeneration in the spinal
cord. Tom’s younger brother and sister have both represented Australia in
rowing.
