A PhD student who previously graduated from Cambridge with a BA in Anglo-Saxon, Norse & Celtic. Cambridge is Rebecca’s home town. She attended Chesterton Community College, just a few hundred metres from the Goldie boathouse, before going onto Impington Village College. Became a novice cox at Cambridge and went on to cox the 2004 Cambridge University Lightweight Men’s Boat race crew and the 2006 Cambridge University Women’s Blue Boat. Coxed the winning Blue Boat in 2007. Also coxed the England Women’s Eight to a Gold medal at the Commonwealth Rowing Championships in 2006 and the Great Britain Women’s Eight to a Bronze medal at the 2007 European Rowing Championships.
